Coach Scott was a late starter to tennis after a childhood filled with playing other sports such as cricket and soccer, but ultimately taught myself to play with his twin brother – spending endless hours on court during their university studies.
He is a qualified a Secondary School Physical Education teacher, and after graduating in 2005 he ended up in England working and travelling. He continued to practice and refine his tennis skills at a picturesque tennis club in Berkhamsted where he eventually began his tennis coaching career in 2013.
A move to Belgium in 2014 provided him with further opportunities to coach alongside his teaching roles. He worked at a number of clubs around Bruges. His main club was TC Loppem where he thoroughly enjoyed coaching a range of adults and children, usually in Dutch which provided an extra challenge!
He has completed tennis coaching courses in both Belgium and the UK that are the equivalent of the Tennis Australia Community Coaching Course. He is excited to be working as part of the Cagney Tennis Academy team and coaching some enthusiastic local tennis players!
