Joshua Day

Coach

Joshua started playing tennis as a 7 year old in 2004 in Bristol, England. He started training at East Glos Club in Cheltenham town, in 2007 under Steve Worsley Head Pro.

He trained there for 8 years, competing in junior tournaments and leagues across the local and regional area reaching a ranking of number 4 in the county.

Joshua started his coaching career as a 16 year old at East Glos Club in Cheltenham town in 2013 working there for 7 years, with children aged as young as 3 years old, right through to adults, in both squad and private lessons, before heading to New Zealand to gain some international tennis coaching experience and enjoy another nations culture both on and off the court.

Once in New Zealand, Josh worked at Orakei Tennis club in Auckland, in 2018 for Kiwi Tennis. 2 years, before heading to Australia to further expand his coaching career / experience.

On his arrival in Australia, Joshua started with us at Cagney Tennis Academy in May 2021, and is a valuable member of our team, offering advice and assistance to the full time coaches in every aspect of the business, utilising his vast international experience across several countries / centres / tennis businesses.

We are lucky to have such a driven and enthusiastic coach who loves helping and inspiring his clients to achieve their potential and push them beyond.
