Jono Roenfeldt

Jono started his tennis journey at the age of 12 in 1994, training at Morisset Sports & Tennis Centre. He now plays socially with former nationally ranked Coach Paris frequently pushing her in practice matches.

He started his coaching career in 2023 under the tutelage of Head Professional and Owner Derek Cagney. He has been coaching a sizeable load of classes with the younger children across all of our centres, as well as doing extra work covering for our more experienced coaches as needed. Jono has been excelling with the younger children in the Hotshots classes – Red, Orange, Green and Yellow ball.

His ability to connect with children and natural ease with the younger children is also due to hm being a Secondary school teacher and he has developed into a great mentor to the younger children. He has a kind way with the children that allows him to get the most out of them in each session.

We look forward to watching Jono’s progress as a coach over the coming years as his skills develop and his thirst for knowledge continues, before he passes it on to his students.
