Crystal Lin

Crystal started her tennis journey with Cagney Tennis Academy at the age of 12 and quickly progressed through the grades from orange, green and into yellow ball.

She started coaching in 2024 after spending time observing and assistant coaching as part of a course for Senior School in Year 11. During this time one of our senior coaches was very impressed with Crystal as a coach and she was offered a role coaching classes after school with the Red & Orange ball children to get started. Under the tutelage of Head Professional and Owner Derek Cagney she has been training and learning her coaching craft, teaching classes with the younger children, as well as working at our holiday clinics and is excelling with the younger children in the Tennis Australia Hotshots classes – Red, Orange and Green ball.

Her maturity and natural ease with the young children is beyond her years and she has developed into a great coach and mentor to the young children. She has a kind way with the children that allows her to get the most out of them in each session.

We look forward to watching Crystal’s progress as a coach over the next few years as her skills develop and her thirst for knowledge continues, while she passes it on to her students.
