Leonora — Tennis Coach at Cagney Tennis Academy
Leonora picked up a racquet at the age of four and has loved tennis ever since. She grew up in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, where she quickly became one of the region’s top junior players. During her school years, she played in national events every year and travelled across Australia and overseas for competitions.
Leonora’s passion for tennis took her to Serbia for part of each year. She trained at well-known European academies and practised with strong international players. Roger Federer has always been her favourite player, and she shaped her own game around his style, especially his one-handed backhand.
In recent years, Leonora has competed on the ITF and WTA circuits. These events helped her gain valuable experience against high-level opponents. She also spent time coaching and hitting at the South Australian Tennis Centre with Tennis SA, where she discovered how much she enjoys helping players grow.
Leonora is excited to move to Lake Macquarie and begin coaching with Cagney Tennis Academy. She brings a strong background in both elite competition and coaching. She enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities and aims to make every lesson positive, clear, and enjoyable.
Her goal is to help each player build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy being part of the tennis community. Leonora looks forward to coaching in Eleebana, Fletcher, Lakelands, Valentine, and across Newcastle, supporting families looking for a tennis coach near me, social tennis, or beginners wanting to get started.
